Greetings!!  We have a fantastic couple of festivals coming up and we hope to see many of you there.  Some of you have already got your tickets... Yes, as you will have understood, Jack has been otherwise occupied and it is I, Eleanor, at the helm this year. In the past, with Jack's nod of approval, I have brought you She'koyokh, Balamuc, Errol Linton, Lucinda Sieger and Silvia Balducci.  I have been putting on world and folk music gigs in London for nearly 15 years now, but the West Country is something of a 'coming home' for me, with my parents only 10 minutes up the road.

This year, details of both festivals are up on one website.  You can get your tickets for them here.  There is a minor change in the way the tickets are presented - please buy your festival tickets and your accommodation (camping/campervan or room/hut) tickets separately

Tangled Roots & Tangled Blues - Tickets

Tangled Roots Festival 5th-7th June

There are some final tweaks still going on but we have a fantastic international line-up and we are sure you will love all the amazing artists who have kindly agreed to be part of this new-old venture!

We have home-grown artists (from nearby Paulton and Bristol) and we have musicians from further afield, as far away as the African continent (The Gambia and Tunisia) and southern India. We have recently formed ensembles and we have artists who have performed on the world's greatest stages and played over decades. Suntou Susso is currently on tour and definitely turning heads, with his beautiful singing and playing of the kora. Jyotsna Srikanth, master of South Indian Carnatic way of playing the violin, will be coming with her daughter Ruchira Sharma, set for her UK debut. We love the songwriting of Belle Greenwood, coming as a trio, of Lucinda Sieger, whose performances ooze joy and talent and Silvia Balducci, passionate about the New Chilean Songbook. Mohamed Ghrab, Tunisian oud and accordion player, marries an impressive and unique love of both Jewish and Arab traditional songs, and there's more... Tropanka's Balkan dance tunes will ensure Saturday's programme ends on a high. This is not all!! There will be a further one or two or three additions to the programme.

Tai chi, yoga (bring a mat if you can), sound bath, music circle (bring whatever you like to make music with & work on that confidence), delicious food, tranquil camping grounds, come and enjoy the idyll and celebrate the farm's 50 years of having organic certification!!! One of the first....

Tangled Blues Festival 7th-9th August

For this too we have a fantastic line-up taking shape.

A dynamic and innovative harmonica-led trio from South London, Jimmy Regal and The Royals deliver a sound that travels from North Mississippi to the vibrant streets of New Orleans, through the rich musical heritage of Mali to the gritty vibes of Canvey Island. Their newest album has actually been nominated Album of the Year by the UK Blues Awards and their previous album, The First and Last Stop, was awarded four stars by Mojo and achieved #1 in the UK Independent Blues Broadcasters Association charts – so they’re hot, and fresh from a recent trip to Senegal!

In addition we have two fabulous American Blues musicians, Nice-based Freddie Hall and London-based Laine Hines.  Look out for more updates on the website and on Facebook.

Follow us on social media!  Please help us spread the word...

Please forward this to your friends.  Extra help this year would be appreciated as some things took longer than expected to get sorted.  There is one facebook page we still don't have access too but these pages and links below are all in use.   Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!  Remember if you want a room or a hut you need to be quick as they are not in limitless supply.

Here's a pic from last year's Blues Festival: Lucinda (she'll perform and MC the Piggery), Jack (who might show his face this year too, TBC), Silvia (hers will be the closing performance on Sunday 7th) and myself, Eleanor of Tuned In London (no London programme at the moment but that will change soon).
